Close to thirty adventurous Kansas Citians have signed up to travel with a special group to China March 20-28, 2011 and it is likely another 30 will register soon! I personally participated in a similar trip earlier this year—it was nothing short of amazing.
Check out my trip report from earlier this year : https://kcchamber.wordpress.com/2010/03/28/visit-to-china-government-relations-update-3262010/
The trip will include first class tours of China’s premiere cities, centuries-old cultural and religious attractions, and a surprising look at the changing workforce and business development needs. China is recently replaced Japan as the number two country for world’s largest economy–many experts expect it will soon be number one on the list replacing the United States.
The trip will begin in Beijing with a visit to the Great Wall, Forbidden City, Tian An Men Square, Ming Tombs, and more. From Beijing-on to Suzhou for the Lingering Garden and Hanshan Temple and then on to Hangzhou to the Dragon Well Tea Farm. The trip concludes in Shanghai with fascinating museum visits, shopping, nightlife, and optional sessions on China’s economy. There is an abundance of time set aside for sight seeing, shopping, and taking-in what these historic cities have to offer.
The Chamber is offering this special trip at a bargain price—$1,995! This includes round trip airfare from Los Angeles, lodging in modern Chinese hotels, admission to attractions, English speaking tour guides, and ground transportation. And the food! Trip participants get one great big American breakfast everyday and multi-course lunches and dinners are traditional Chinese fare. This is a trip you should give sincere consideration to taking. This is a subject I can definitely chat about. Feel free to call or email me or Cathy Bennett.
