Do you have The Chamber on your list of New Year’s Resolutions?!

by

Luann Feehan, Vice President of Membership

The New Year is a time to reflect on the past year’s goals and for many serves as a catalyst of new goals, new plans, and new direction. I invite you to include The Chamber into those goals. Fuel your thoughts and aspirations by attending a program designed for professionals and help you become more effective, stay abreast of new trends, and develop the marketable skills needed to succeed during these times of change.

Here are five resolutions on how The Chamber can help you get started for 2010:

1. Strive to learn something new and attend a Business Brain Food, our professional development program. Or learn about the economy here in Kansas City at any of our Economic Forums.

2. Read Your Chamber @ Work (http://www.kcchamber.com/Go.asp?Id=YCAW) a weekly e-newsletter that hits your e-mail every Friday. A great way to stay abreast of today’s needs and tomorrow’s challenges for members in the metro KC area.

3. Build and maintain your professional network at any of our networking programs such as Business After Hours, Face2Face or The Chamber’s Morning Schmooze, all three are held most months in 2010.

4. Help your business become more visible by posting your good news on our website, www.kcchamber.com. Inform Kansas City about what great things are happening at your organization.

5. Focus on your business. You can keep an eye on your business while we keep an eye on government affairs. It doesn’t matter how small or how big your business is, The Chamber is always working for you. And, it doesn’t matter if you’re in Kansas or Missouri; we’ve got you covered with our public policy programming.

Today offers new opportunities with Social Networking tools that connect you with hundreds of other like-minded area professionals through our Facebook fan page, LinkedIn group, Twitter, and of course our blog.

So go ahead, jump-start your business in 2010 with The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.
